FUEL AID UNTIL THE ELECTIONS

The Government cannot afford to remove fuel aid. It is an insufficient 0.20 euros per liter of fuel that has become a bulwark against protests that has endured an unbearable summer. Internal government reports indicate that the price of fuel will not fall clearly until at least the end of 2023. With this scenario, sources from the PSOE suggest that, at a minimum, fuel aid will be maintained until the municipal and regional elections. But there are voices that insist that even this bonus could go further and reach November 2023. Be that as it may, the truth is that, according to internal government reports, there could be a clear drop in fuel prices in the middle of next year. If this is the case, the Executive could remove aid that throws off the Executive’s accounts.
