The volume of fuel sold in Spain and Portugal stood at 39.24 million tons in 2022, which was 2% more than in the previous year, according to the DBK Sector Observatory of INFORMA
Sales in Spain reached 33.32 million tons, 1.6% above 2021. Gasoline sales stood at 5.75 million tons, experiencing an increase of 9.7%, while diesel sales were 27.57 million, 0.1% more.
In Portugal, meanwhile, a positive rate of change of 4.6% was recorded, up to 5.92 million tons. Gasoline sales increased to 1.07 million tons, 9.8% more than in 2021, and diesel sales reached 4.84 million, which represented an increase of 3.5%.
