CHANGES IN THE TACHOGRAPH SYSTEM

On January 1st, a regulation regarding driving and rest times and the use of the tachograph will come into effect, which will require carriers to keep records of their last 56 days on board their vehicles, compared to the current 28 days.

This is a measure included in the Mobility Package approved by the European Union in 2020, which included different legal measures aimed, among other things, at better controlling social dumping in the road transport sector and limiting the phenomenon of irregular relocation of transport companies to countries with lower labor and tax costs.
