According to the latest provisional consumption report published by the Strategic Petroleum Product Reserves Corporation (Cores), August 2023 saw a 3.0% decrease in the consumption of automotive fuels, compared to the data from the same month in 2022. It should be noted that the document also reflects a 5.4% reduction compared to the previous month, July 2023.
Within the automotive fuels category, gasoline experienced the most notable increase, with a 5.7% rise compared to August 2022. On the other hand, the consumption of automotive diesel registered a 5.7% decrease during the same period.
