THE GOVERNMENT ACKNOWLEDGES THAT REFUNDS OF DISCOUNTS MUST BE EXPEDITED

Gas station owners are at their limit, and many are considering closing their service stations if the Government does not imminently pay the advance bonus in April to cover the 20-cent per liter fuel discount. Less than a day ago, they were already complaining on the podcast ‘Una moneada al aire’ of La Información that they are resorting to financing to be able to face the between 500,000 and 700,000 euros that this advance entails. The response from the Government has been swift, with the Minister of Transport, Raquel Sánchez, announcing that the Tax Agency is working to expedite the payment of fuel bonuses for service stations and has assured that the advances that were requested before the application of the discount have been paid at 10%, and of those that need to be settled now, “more than half have already been paid.”
