THE IMF FAVORS RAISING FUEL TAXES IN SPAIN

The International Monetary Fund (IMF) supports María Jesús Montero’s ambition to raise taxes on fuels. In its report on the Spanish economy published this week, the organization points out that Spain has “room” for a “more ambitious” fuel taxation, and clearly proposes a “tax increase.” On diesel and also on gasoline.
